School Improvement Plan

We are constantly looking at what we can do to continually improve what we are doing at Great Malvern Primary School.  The following priorities for improvement have been identified for the academic year 2026-2027 and are in line with the Ofsted framework.

Priority 1 - Curriculum and Teaching with a focus on embedding new writing approach

a) Our curriculum is expertly designed and ambitious for all pupils. Opportunities to develop language, vocabulary and reading are embedded in all areas of the curriculum and support our writing across the curriculum.

b) A culture of continuous improvement and use of CPD to develop teaching ensures that the needs of all pupils are consistently met.

c) Teaching of writing will improve to enable our children to reach their potential

Priority 2 - Culture to ensure a strong sense of belonging for all

a) Pupils' attendance to be in line with comparative averages.

b) Strong sense of belonging for all with a clear and embedded culture with clear vision and values lived by all

Priority 3 - Behaviour, Attendance and Inclusion

a) All pupils are welcome and celebrated.

b) Early identification and targeted support of pupils with SEND enables them to make progress.

c) Pupil attendance to be in line with comparative averages and meet the improvements set by the DfE (97%)

Priority 4 - Leadership

a) Leadership at all levels will be clear  and have measurable impact upon outcomes for the children in our school 

b) Standards across school show clear progress and improvement for all pupils.
